Best thing about mistakes is what we learn from them. It's a loose style jacket and should still be ok a little shorter. The width lost at the side seam might be ok, but you will need to narrow down the yoke width to correspond with the back piece. When you're ready to look at it again, check all corresponding pattern pieces, it may not be a total waste.
