Remember the story about Pandora's box? All the evil in the world flew out at one time, and made itself known everywhere -- but at the bottom of the box was hope.
I get all those emotions, same boat for me, too much happening and no energy to put it into place, we live in hope, that our heads clear and we get to the things we enjoy, happy sewing, Lyn
Nice to know that I am not the only one who is very busy trying to accept what is. I have been painting walls. So far, my bedroom looks fabulous, and the hallways are coming along. Have you noticed that women become productive in times of uncertainty? If I was a squirrel, I would have a root cellar full of nuts! It's my only known antidote to this despair. Hang in there, at least we are staying busy instead of hiding under the bed. Lovely basket!
I really understand how you are feeling. I was so depressed after the 2012 election; I lost all hope for this nation. I feared that this nation would not survive another four years. This election was even worse for me. Neither candidate was worth voting for. But strangely, Wednesday morning I felt as if a heavy blanket had been lifted off me. I do have hope, not confidence, but hope that our government will again function as it was meant, with each of the three branches moderating the other two. That is how it runs best. I am not excited or rejoicing in the party that won, but I am hopeful for the first time in a long time that we will get back on track.
I pray that you will soon find peace and hope again. I wish I had been as productive as you in 2012. I basically sat and stared and saw nothing but blackness for a few days.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear your news. It's like Brexit for us. Anger and grieving.
